........ Well, well, well.......... Theres no doubt about
this one......... right from the day, this 18 year old kid walked into the Rangi Hostel........ and till that nostalgic
summer of '95..... each day at IIBM was a memorable experience for me........I stayed there in Rangi Hostel, and
you would better know me as "Shimla".
Hey, do I hear from somewhere,
"Jai Rangi"!!! If you are from IIBM, you would know what am I talking about here, else just understand that this slogan
often worked as an wake up alarm for me and many of my other friends.
I enrolled into IIBM in 1992 in Management course, but I passed
out of the place 3 years later learning everything else in the world, apart from Management. Many of the depmates were
often confused as to which deptt. I belonged to.......
First year was passed doing all sort of crazy things at odd
hours .......... with sandy, mukund (Motu), bokaro, bagchi, arun, langad, dibba, and daku.................who
can forget those late night (oops, early morning) trips to station to bring paranthas........to get the energy back for day's
masti, which included fights, dance parties on floor, and Mona trips. Moved on to the second year, which was mainly
dominated by the gr8 nightouts, and learnt many an important lessons on strategy much before my initiation to Strategy later
at job. Also, happened to attend a few classes during these first two years.
The final year were the time for
movies, masti and ...... including trips to the Ghats of Ganges at 4 in the morning, just because during those late-night
half-sleepy talks, my dear friends Sandy and Motu would make me realize that I hadnt seen the glorious Ganges that
far :)
Wow, IIBM...............you were simply great.
.........Those were the best days of my life..............
